Company was established with the objective to satiate
the ascendant demand for entertainment, health educational
and recreational facilities.
With a strategic growth plan in mind, the company was
the first to introduce the Concept of Mobile Amusement
centers in India in 1990. Till 1992, the Company successfully
took Mobile Amusement centers through a large number
of cities in Western and Northern India. This provided
a first hand experience into visitor profiles; preferences
and patterns.
Simultaneously, in house R&D and manufacturing facilities
were developed to strengthen the base for growth.
Polo Amusement Park Limited , the flagship
of the Polo group of companies was incorporated as a
Public Limited company in 1989 registered with the Registrar
of Companies , Delhi and Haryana, India.
The Polo Group has been promoted by the Mr Balwant Singh
Chawla and his brother Mr Santokh Singh Chawla.
Having traveled the world over, the
promoters saw the tremendous potential for entertainment
and recreational facilities in India. A great demand
waiting to be tapped !!
In 1993, the Polo Group launched its
first Theme park- Fun N Food Village in
Delhi to offer a fusion of modern recreational facilities
set out in an ambience of traditional Indian culture.
Public preference and demand showed the way for growth
and Polo brought to the Delhites a Water Park under
the name of Village Club. The facilities
provided include Indias largest Water slide, Asia
fastest water slide- Aqua Shute, a Wave pool and lazy
river amongst a host of world class water based rides.
In 1999, the group entered into its second phase of
growth with the incorporation of a new company, Polo
Amusement (Nagpur) Private Limited. The Company purchased
300 acres of land of which 60 acres has been developed
a fully operational Amusement and Water park with a
capacity to cater to 10000 visitors per day. The Nagpur
park proposes to launch a Safari park , stunt shows
, Ice skating facilities by 2004, star hotel facilities
by March 2005 , and a state of art academy for research
and training in different fields of Amusement and water
park industry.
The year 2001 has been the beginning of the globalisation
effort with the incorporation of Polo Amusement (Australia)
Pty Limited with an objective to set up a Themed Water
park, themed amusement park and snow village at the
Gold Coast, Australia.

The Polo Group, owns and operates 2 of India's premier
Water and Amusement Parks under the brand name of Fun
N Food Village at Delhi and Nagpur ( Central India).
At the Park in Delhi, we have developed India's first
and largest Snow Park with a floor area of 60,000 sq
feet. Developed as a year round facility, the snow park
offers :
- Ice Skating arena - 800 sq mtrs -
India's largest
- Indoor Ski slope- 110 mtrs long -
India's only.
- Auditorium - with seating capacity
for 600 guests fully equipped with state of art acoustic
systems and theatre lights.

Consulting
Services :
The Polo Group has a consulting division that
offers services for the Planning, development and operations
of Amusement Parks and Water parks. We have in house
facilities for the design and manufacture of Amusement
Park rides, Water slides and theme park attractions.
Joint
Ventures :
The Polo group has incorporated a new company by the
name of Polo Patine Leisure Pvt Ltd as a joint venture
with Patine Corporation, Japan and Leisure Industries
Co Japan to exclusively offer services for construction,
equipment installation, management and operation of
Ice skating rinks and indoor snow facilities on a turn
key basis in the Indian Sub- continent, Middle east
and Central Asia.
Global
Business Plans :
The Polo Group of Companies has set up 100 % of Polo
Amusement Australia (Pty) Ltd for the development of
a theme park at Gold Coast, Australia. Developmental
plans exist to take the Fun N Food Village to Thailand,
Australia, Uzbekistan and Kazakistan. By the Year 2015,
the Polo group strategic plan looks at 10 parks worldwide.

Leisure Pvt Ltd : An Indo Japanese Venture
The
year 2002-3 saw the birth of Polo Patine Leisure Pvt
Ltd as a joint venture between Patine Corporation of
Japan jointly with Leisure Industries Co. Ltd, Japan,
and Polo Amusement Park Limited of Delhi with 50 :50
equity participation.
Patine Corporation, world leaders in the business Snow-land,
commercial ice skating rinks and Olympic Arenas combine
a range of products and technologies from Japan, North
America and Europe with 40 years of experience and technical
expertise. Patine Corporation also provides de-icing
chemicals for airports, streets, highways, and parking
lots and road heating and deicing equipment/systems.
Patine Corporation and Leisure Industries Co. Ltd together
hold 90% of the Ice skating and snow facility market
in Japan and can offer the entire gamut of state of
art technologies in the field of Ice skating and snow
facilities.
Polo group's industrial expertise in the field of amusement
and water parks backed by the technical expertise and
product support for Patine Corporation, Japan , the
Joint Venture company would offer services for setting
up on a turn key basis Snow park and Ice skating facilities
