  Day 04:
Darjeeling - Sandakphu ( 3636 mts / 11,929 ft):
Early morning drive to Sandakphu, 58 km from Darjeeling. The road till Manebhanjang is a smooth road but from Manebhanjang the road deviates uphill from the main road. Road is rough road and only "four wheel" vehicles can drive up. The road passes numerous small towns and villages namely, Ghum, Sukhia-Pokhari, Manebhanjang, Megma, Tonglu, Gairibas, Kal-pokhari, Bikhaybhanjang and finally into Sandakphu. Drive takes us five to six hours from Darjeeling. So we start early morning from Darjeeling taking our pack lunches so that we can have with a hot tea on the way. Don't forget to bring your passport because we have to show them at the Manebhanjang police outpost. Late Afternoon we can walk around the hills and see the splendid sunset.

  Day 05:
Sandakphu (3636 meters) is a window to one of the finest views of the snowy mountains from the mighty Everest in Nepal, to the revere Kanchenjunga in Sikkim and the legendary Chomolhari in Bhutan. From here Everest is 144-km crow's fly. Sandakphu is 58 km from Darjeeling and commands one of the most spectacular views. It is here one encounters nature's pristine glory at its magnificent best. The four of the world's highest mountains all 8000 meters high towering over us at an incredibly close distance presents with a sight one can never forget. (Everest (8848 mts), Makalu (8482 mts), Lhotse (8500 mts) and Kanchenjunga (8586 mts)) The contrast between Everest and Kanchenjunga is well marked. "Kanchenjunga or Kanchen-Konglu" the third highest mountain is remarkable for its imposing bulk and massive proportions while Everest, the highest soars above a series of valleys and its ridges, is more graceful and majestic. Snowy ranges occupy the space between the two. Three Sisters, which cluster together and towards east beyond Kanchenjunga we will be able to see the Dongkya and Chola ranges of the Tibetan frontier with Chuma-lhari lifting up to its heads in the rear. The whole showy ranges of Bhutan, Sikkim and Nepal about 320 kms in length are visible but panorama is completely dominated by the Kanchenjunga and Everest group

Sunrise from Sandakphu : We wake up early to view sunrise from the ridge as it is said that if one does not wake up to see the sunrise at Sandakphu the tour will remain incomplete. From Sandakphu, the wild elemental grandeur of the snows begins to assert itself, till the climax is reached at sunrise, when it soaks the snow-laden peaks in crimson and mauve, orange and gold. Kanchenjunga and Everest are seen in all their glory against the background of an azure sky speckled with lazily floating, fleecy clouds. The whole snowy range of Bhutan, Sikkim and Nepal, about 320 Km in length, a wonderful square mass of mountains looking like a wall of snow, is visible, but the gigantic height and breadth of towering Kanchenjunga, with its attendant peaks, Kabru, Janu, Narsing and Pandim dominates the scene. Everest, (8,848 meters/29,028 ft) graceful and majestic, 160 kms soars above, peeping shyly from the northern horizon with Lhtose (8,500 meters or 27,824 ft) on the right and Makalu (8482 meters or 27,824 ft) on the left.
