From Siddharth to Sakyamuni and finally to the Buddha or the Enlightened One, an incredible transformation of a prince to an enlightened teacher, who walked the earth more than 2500 years ago. Siddharth (Lord Buddha) was born in 560 BC in Lumbini (Now in Nepal) a soothsayer predicted that he would attain a position of immense power , either as a secular ruler or as a religious leader. Further predictions warned that if he ever laid eyes on the suffering of world he would have no choice but to follow the latter course and give up his family's kingdom. Sarnath near Varanasi is the place where he first preached his massage, Bodhgaya where he attained enlightenment and Kushinagar near Gorakhpur - where he died.

  Day 1:   Arrive- Delhi:
Upon arrival -transfer to Hotel - Check in at Hotel & Overnight Stay.

  Day 2:  
Arrive Delhi - at 0215 hrs .Delhi- Lucknow -by Sh Exp 0615 /1230 hrs
Meeting upon arrival than transfer to New Delhi Railway Station to board Train for
Lucknow .Upon arrival board the coach and proceed your drive to reach Balrampur via Sravasti (the Capital of the ancient Kingdom of Kosala and where Buddha confounded his critics with a manifold manifestation of himself, seated on a thousand petal Lotus. In the third rainy season after His enlightenment, the Lord Buddha visited Sravasti and stayed at the beautiful pleasure garden " JETVANA " a gift of devotion from the rich merchant SUDATTA who later on built numerous Shrines and monasteries in memory of The Lord Buddha). Upon arrival check in the Hotel for the overnight stay.

   
             
  Day 3:  
Balrampur -Lumbini- Kushinagar:
Morning after breakfast drive to
Lumbini (about 2500 years ago Lord Buddha was born to Queen Maya. In 249 B.C. Emperor Ashoka raised a Pillar to commemorate the sacred spot. Today, although nothing remains at Lumbini, but Buddhist followers regard it as one of the sacred Site of Buddhist Pilgrimage being birth place of Blessed one). After Lunch in Lumbini proceed to Kushinagar (Lord Buddha has visited this place in the 6th. & 9th. years after His Enlightenment. He delivered several Sermons here elevating it to a Center of learning Buddhism. Today, one can see the ruins of an Ashoka Pillar, an old FORT and Ghositaram monastery. It is the place where the Lord Buddha (Tathagata), the reciter of truth, breathed His last with the last words " Behold now, brethren, I exhort you, saying, decay is interest in all component things! Work out Your salvation with diligence " Since the Mahaparinirvana of LORD BUDDHA, the Kushinagar was turned into a memorial Site with Stupa including relics of Buddha) .Upon arrival check in the Hotel for rest. Later proceed to visit the Mahaparinirvana Temple and the Indo Japanese and Sri Lankan Temples. Overnight at the hotel.

  Day 4:  
Kushinagar - Vaishali-Patna:
Morning after breakfast drive (300 Km) to Patna via Vaishali (believed to be the first Republic of the world having an elected body of representatives who holds special significance for Buddhist devotees. At Kolhua LORD BUDDHA delivered His last sermon, hinging at His impending departure from the mortal World. Later Emperor Ashoka erected a huge Pillar to commemorate the spot of the Last Sermon. Vaishali was also the Center of the II Buddhist Council congregation , held after 100 years of Buddha's Parinirvana to discuss the ten points of VINAYA, the rule of conduct under dispute). Arrive Patna and check in the Hotel for the overnight stay.
     
             
  Day 5:  
Patna -Nalanda- Rajgir :
Morning after breakfast drive (110 km) to Rajgir (meaning Royal Palace is the Seat from where LORD BUDDHA delivered many of His sermons. It is the place where the Teachings of Lord Buddha were recorded in writing for the first time. There are many other places having Historical significance in Rajgir) & Nalanda is the Site of a Buddhist University of great repute which came up much after Buddha passed into Mahaparinirvana. The ruins reflect the architectural styles of three famous periods in Indian History. The Mauryas, The Gupta and the Pala periods. There are ruins of Temples and Stupas within the University complex and The Nalanda Museum houses several undamaged Statues of the Lord Buddha, collection of Buddhist bronzes and Coins).On arrival check in the Hotel.

  Day 6:  
Rajgir - Bodhgaya:
Morning visit to Girdhkut where the Lord Buddha Had
Meditation. After Breakfast proceed to Bodhgaya ( 80 kms ) Upon arrival Check in
At Hotel and after lunch visit the Mahabodhi Temple, Tree and other Buddhist Monasteries in and around Bodhgaya (Bodhgaya is reckoned as the most important Buddhist Pilgrimage Center where Lord Sakyamuni entered into mediation after being moved by the sufferings of mankind. Prince Siddharth mediated for 6 long years under the BODHI TREE and finally attained the Enlightenment.

  Day 7:  
Bodhgaya- Varanasi: ( 275 kms )
After Breakfast proceed to Varanasi with box lunch. Upon arrival visit to Sarnath - where Lord Buddha has chosen to deliver His first sermon after attaining the enlightenment to His first 5 disciples now termed Dharmachkra Pravartan. This set in motion the great Buddhist tradition of Sangha). Visit the Dharmek Stupa & Sarnath Museum, overnight stay at Hotel.
     
             
  Day 8:  
Varanasi - Delhi - by 9W 334 - 1430 /1600 hrs
Early morning at dawn visit the river Ganges on a boat to witness the bathing ghats and sites.
After breakfast free at leisure.
After lunch transfer to airport to board flight for Delhi.
Upon arrival Proceed to Agra- 200 kms 5 hrs drive. Dinner at Midway. Overnight at Hotel.

  Day 9 :  
Early morning Agra Sightseeing than proceed to Delhi- Transfer to International airport.
