Experience the thrill of Tiger Trekking in the forest of Central India at Bandhavgarh National park , Kanha National park & the Asiatic Lion in Sasan Gir. Bandhavgarh, set among the Vindhya Hills of Madhya Pradesh with an area of 168 square miles is covered by sal forests and stretches of bamboo and grassland. This national park contains a wide variety of habitats and high density of game, including a large number of tigers. Within the park is the ancient Bandhavgarh fort and caves, dug into the sandstone of the fort, have inscriptions dating from the 1st century BC. In the recent past, the fort was last occupied by the Maharaja of Rewa until it was designated as a National Park in 1968.
Situated in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, the picturesque Kanha National Park (1,940 sq kms) was created as a sanctuary in 1933, National Park in 1955 & as a Tiger Reserve In 1974. Since then, Kanha is among the few most scenic and beautiful wildlife reserves in Asia and has dedicated itself in preserving a variety of animal species. Many endangered species have indeed been saved here. The park is the only habitat of the rare hardground Barasingha (Cervus Duvaceli Branderi). This 'Tiger Country' is the ideal home for both predator and prey. This is original Kipling country of which he wrote so vividly in his Jungle Book. The same abundance of wild life species exists today in Kanha National Park , as it must have when Kipling roamed these parts.
The Asiatic lion that once inhabited a wide stretch of land from Greece to India , covering Asia Minor and Persia . Today it is confined to the arid stretches of Sasan Gir. This sanctuary today boasts of more than 250 lions, is also the home for wide variety of smaller animals, prey and predators. The Gir is a mixed deciduous forest with teak, flame of the forest, some acacia and banyan trees. It is a hilly tract with many rivers and offers long pleasant drives of beauty. The sanctuary covers a total area of 1,412 sq. km of which 258 sq.km at the core forms the National park.

Delhi – Jabalpur - Bandhavgarh: DN 503 at 0705/0955 Hrs:
Morning after breakfast transfer to the Domestic airport to board the flight to Jabalpur . Arrive Jabalpur and drive (170 Km) to reach Bandhavgarh ( The density of the tiger population at Bandhavgarh National Park is very high compared to other wildlife reserves in India . Sloth Bear, Wild Boar, Leopard and Tiger can be spotted. Other animals found in the Park are the Chital (Spotted Deer), Sambhar, Barking Deer, Nilgai (Blue Bull), Chowsingha (Four Horned Antelope). The sanctuary is also rich in bird life) . Upon arrival check in the Hotel / Resort for rest. In the evening proceed for the jungle safari. Overnight stay at the Hotel / Resort. |

Bandhavgarh - Kanha:
Morning after breakfast transfer to Kanha ( 220 kms / 6.5 Hrs). Upon arrival check in the Hotel / Resort for rest. In the evening proceed for the jungle safari ( The main wildlife attractions in the park are tiger, bison, gaur, sambhar, chital, barasingha, barking deer, black deer, black buck, chousingha, nilgai, mouse deer, sloth bear, jackal fox, porcupine, hyena, jungle cat, python, pea fowl, hare, monkey, mongoose, tiger, and leopard. The birds species in the park include storks, teals, pintails, pond herons, egrets, peacock, pea fowl, jungle fowl, spur fowl, partridges, quails, ring doves, spotted parakeets, green pigeons, rock pigeons, cuckoos, papihas, rollers, bee-eater, hoopoes, drongos, warblers, kingfishers, woodpeckers, finches, orioles, owls, and fly catchers ).
