Mount Trekking

One of the facinating trek in Lahaul valley situated on the 4890 Mts drained by two mighty river -Chandra and Bhaga , this trek explores the upper Himalayas of Chandra valley and goes to its sources on the Baralacha -La where its join the Manali , Leh highway.



	Day 1: Arrive - Delhi:

Met on arrival at International airport and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.



	Day 2: Delhi - Chandigarh - Manali :

		Early morning transfer to New Delhi raliway station to board Shatabdi Exp. to Chandigarh. Met on arrival and transfer to Manali which takes about 8 hrs. On arrival check-into hotel for overnight stay.



	Day 3: Manali :

		After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour Manali. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight stay in hotel.



	Day 4: Manali - Preni - Hamta Village :

After breakfast drive to Preni (a short drive), the starting point of trek. From Preni start trek with a steep climb, with a view of the Manali valley from above. Entering the Hamta River Valley one treks towards the Marasu campsite (2745 mt), which is surrounded by alpine forests. Chances of seeing some wild life. Overnight stay in tented camp.



	Day 5: Marasu - Chikka :

After breakfast start trek (6 hour) along the river valley with view of Jobri peaks. The trek crosess many glacial streams over improvised wooden bridges. Passing through a narrow gorge and arriving at Chikkha (3140 mt). Overnight stay in tented camp.



	Day 6: Chikka - Hamta Base :

After breakfast trek (6 hour) through alpine meadows which is full of many alpine flowers. Also many interesting glacial features can be seen along the way. Set-up camp at Bhalu Gera (3660 mt), which is located in an open meadow within the site of the snow bound Hamta pass for overnight stay.



	Day 7: Hamta Base - Hamta Pass - Hamta :

Start the trek by climbing up the Hamta pass (4270 mt), walking on the snowfields. From top of the pass you can see Deo Tibba and Indrasan peaks of the Greater Himalayas. A short descent to the campsite at Hamta at 3900 mt. Overnight stay in tented camp.



	Day 8: Hamta - Chhatru :

Todays trek is leisurely walk following the valley stream down to the mighty river Chandra. Arriving by the side of Manali-Sipti road, a vehicle will bring us supplies of fresh food and take us to the next campsite near the Government Rest House of Chatru (3355 mt).



	Day 9: Chhatru - Batal - Kunzum La - Chandratal :

After breakfast drive along the river Chandra, and heading towards Batal. The drive offers vies of Barashigri glacier, White Sail Peak, Lalan Peak and the CB group peaks along the way. Arriving at the top of Kunzum La pass at 4270 mt. Visit the shrine on the pass and then start the trek towards the Chandertal Lake at 3950 mt. Set-up camp for overnight stay.



	Day 10: Chandratal :

A day of rest day in Chandertal, on the side of the lake which is probably one of the most picturesque lake in the Indian Himalayas region. Overnight stay in tented camp.



	Day 11: Chandratal - Topko Gingma :

A day to enjoy the rugged beauty of the Trans Himalayan Mountains. The 5 hours trek follows the valley rising gradually to our first river crossing a great adventure. Camping at Tokpo Gongma (4250 mt), with views of the Kiyar peaks.



	Day 12: Topko Gongma - Topko Yongma :

A fairly easy walk (5 hours) in the Ladakh region. Camping at Tokpo Yongma at 4515 mt.



	Day 13: Topko Yongma - Zing zing Bar :

Start the day with another river crossing adventure. Trekking towards the Baralachla pass at a height of 4880 mt. At top of the pass we will join the Manali- Ladakh road, the highest road in the world. Camping at a little below the pass at Zing Zing Bar (4425 mt), where our jeep will pick us up for the next days drive.



	Day 14: Zing zing Bar - Rohtang - Manali :

Todays drive is probably the most spectacular drive in the Himalayas. Heading down into the Lahaul valley. The people here have a unique culture. Their clothing and architecture are so different from anywhere else in India. Peoples believe in Buddhism and Hinduism. Passing by many villages along the way and driving up the Rohtang pass at 3982 mt. Continue driving to Manali. On arrival check-into hotel for overnight stay.



	Day 15: Manali - Chandigarh :

Morning after breakfast drive (310 km) to Chandigarh. Stop enroute at Kullu for short sightseeing. On arrival check-into hotel for overnight stay.



	Day 16: Chandigarh - Delhi :

Morning after breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Chandigarh. Visit Rock Garden and Lake club. Later in the afternoon drive back to Delhi. On arrival check-into hotel for overnight stay.



	Day 17: Delhi :

Day at leisure. Check-out from hotel at 1200 hrs.
