There are many mountaineering options in Ladakh and the most famous and easily accessible is the Stok (6150m), Goleb (5900m), Kangyatse (6,400m) and Matho west (5,950m) Khangri in the Zanskar mountains. Stok Khangri can be done in 4-5 days, which has spectacular view Indus valley and other mountain ranges. Peaks of Kangyatse and Dzojongjo are located in the Markha valley famous for trekking. The Nun Kun massif is in the great Himalayan ranges. It is easily accessible from Kargil and Padum road.
