Enjoy one of the most exciting Himalayan flights to Leh. A traditional welcome awaits ypu at Leh airport (3150 mtrs) on arrival and then tranfer to hotel. Take complete rest to acclimatize yourself. Evening go for a brisk walk to strtch your body.
Day 2 : Leh -
After a leisure breakfast proceed for a half day tour which includes visit to Shanti Stupa , Hall of Fame a memorial hall of our great soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country, and then visit the famous Stok Palace Museum which is also the residence of the Maharaja of Ladakh. Afternoon free.
Day 3 : Leh - Alchi - Ulleytokpo -
With an early breakfast depart to Ulleytokpo Ethnic Resort. Enroute visit the Great Alchi Murals (1000 AD). The well preserved wall paintings of Alc"i Monastery are absolutely stunning and magnificent. Arrive and have lunch at Ulleytokpo and enjoy the silence of the region.
Day 4 : Ulleytokpo - Tingmosgang -
After breakfast drive to Tingmosgang, which was the capital of western Ladakh (S"am region) during 16-17'h century AD. The imposing Castle of Tingmosgang enshrines of the most revered images in Ladak" - the self-originated image of Avalokitesvara. It is the most excellent object of pilgrimage to which prostration have been offered by the successive Dharmaraja of Ladak" and by the whole population of the region.
Day 5 : Tingmosgang - Saspol -
After breakfast drive to Saspol 40 km approx. On arrival checkin at the hotel. Rest and have lunch. Later walk around the village and explore the ancient caves in the village.
Day 6 : Saspol - Leh -
Morning drive back to Leh, stop for tea at Nimoo and arrive Leh by afternoon. Rest of the day free for last minute souvenirs
Day 7 : Leh - Delhi (Flight) -
Morning light snacks, transfer to airport to board flight for Delhi, to enjoy yet again, a beautiful flight over the great Himalayas. Happy journey.
